Dear Members of AcqNet:

I recently sent out a call for participation in a *survey study on
collection management of health science materials in public libraries*. The
survey remains open and in search of participants. Thus far, fewer than ten
people have responded; your participation matters and is essential to the
success of this research.

As a reminder, this study is in fulfillment of my MLS degree at CUNY Queens
College. *Public librarians and library directors/administrators involved
in collection management*--budgeting, selection of materials, ongoing
maintenance and assessment, and/or deselection of materials--*are invited
to participate*. You need not have any particular expertise in health
science collections. The questionnaire consists of approximately 30
multiple choice, Likert scale, and open-ended questions and should take
about 10-15 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary and anonymous.
You may skip any question you do not wish to answer.

Your participation will contribute to research that will shed light on the
development of collections in a subject area that may have very direct
consequences on the health and well-being of patrons.
