Hi,

Does anyone have experience they can share with making efforts to purchase
library acquisitions through BIPOC-owned bookstores? My library is reviewing
our options so I wanted to see if we could learn through the experiences of
the community. One option we have in mind is to identify bookstores local to
us that sell through bookshop.org (orders are filled through Ingram (ProQuest)
with 30% of the sale going to the specified bookstore). Does anyone have
experiences with bookshop.org? Or other options? What has the experience been
like compared with your library's traditional sources for print books? What
impacts have their been on workflow/staffing/time/etc?

Thanks,
