Good day,

Our library is going to convert from Voyager to Alma, perhaps as soon as the
end of September. The decision has been made to not "migrate any POs. [We]
will extract them in case we should need to reference them at any point."

Has anyone done this? Once a purchase order is extracted, does it remain
accessible or will we need to extract it again if we need it a later date?
There is a function in Voyager's cataloging module which allows one to go
from the catalog record to the PO in acquisitions (if there is one attached
to the bibliographic record). I cannot imagine trying to work without that
capability. One can also go from a line in a PO to the bibliographic record
associated with that line item.

It makes me wonder what may be done with cataloging records.

Please respond to me off-list if you prefer.
