Dear library colleagues,
I hope you and your families are safe and managing in this overwhelming
crisis.
I'm writing to put in a good word for our book distributor of the past four
years, Midwest Library Service. They're a small company that provides
professional and personal service, in full support of our needs. To make
up for currently reduced library budgets, they are hoping to bring on as
many new customers as possible, for the well-being of staff and their
staff's families.
In the current crisis, they are able to hold and store our book orders for
up to six months until we reopen, and we are told that timeline can be
extended if necessary. During our closure, they are able to send books
directly to individual faculty members. They offer advanced billing,
deposit accounts and setting up of shelf ready processing, among other
services.
I'm writing out of the loyalty and support Midwest earned from us four
years ago. Having been an acquisitions librarian for over 25 years, and
having worked with most of the larger companies, I can recommend Midwest
and its first-class staff in the strongest possible terms.
This is the kind of small and personal business that deserves to survive
our national disaster, which larger companies are better equipped to
weather. If you're in need of a no-nonsense book vendor staffed with
people who know how to listen and provide true service, please do consider
trying Midwest: https://www.midwestls.com/Home
thank you,
