We order and receive Special Collections materials within Acquisitions. We have the items shipped to Acquisitions, but have created a special code word we use in that address to indicate to staff that it is a Special Collections item. The items are locked in a storage locker in the acquisitions mailroom until they are received. Once received they are brought over to Special Collections for full cataloging and other treatment.

We have the materials shipped to the Acquisitions unit. After we receive the items and process the invoices, the items are sent down to Special Collections for "packaging" decisions. They will go to Cataloging at some point for full records.

Hello,
If your Acquisitions unit handles ordering for Special Collections, could you tell me if the materials are shipped to the Acquisitions unit or to the Special Collections unit? Thanks.
