I haven’t gotten any directory scams for years. The last one may have been about 5 years ago. The other thing I haven’t gotten for ages is unsolicited “preview” materials that incur charges if not returned by a certain date.

Subject: [ALCTS-acqnet] Directory scams -- still happening?

Dear Collective Wisdom,

I was reminded by a news story this morning (https://tinyurl.com/y4rhu6n6) of the fact that for decades we in libraries have been dealing with various kinds of directory scams (http://liblicense.crl.edu/ListArchives/0412/msg00113.html), but that I haven’t heard much about them lately. Have they gone away? Is anyone on the list still experiencing them?
