Hello,
I am the Director of Publications for the American Numismatic Society, a learned society founded in 1858 based in New York City specializing in the scholarship of coins, currency, and medals from all cultures throughout all periods of history. We publish a few monographs each year, plus the American Journal of Numismatics. This year we’re launching a new journal, the Journal of Early American Numismatics (print ISSN: 2577-5774, digital ISSN: 2577-5782), which will focus on coins and coinage of the Americas and will include articles on archaeology, history, geography, political science, and more.
My question to the group is how to introduce the journal to university librarians responsible for acquisitions of new titles. While I have been a publisher for ten years, this is my first journal launch, so I am looking for guidance in how to make the new journal discoverable by libraries (including subscription agents, but am grateful to learn of other methods).
Thanks for considering the above, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Andrew
