Hi Mary,
I don't remember all the details of how we got started, but we use
Foundation Directory online because we are a partner in the Funding
Information Network
<http://foundationcenter.org/ask-us/funding-information-network>, and that
resource is part of their program.
We have never really looked at any other databases since we started that
program probably 10 years ago.
