Monographic & Media Cataloging Coordinator

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Content Access Management (CAM), the Monographic & Media Cataloging Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Monographic & Media Cataloging Team within the unit. The Coordinator provides leadership within the Library for English language cataloging, by collaborating with other Technical Services units to determine appropriate workflows and with Public Services units to assess ongoing cataloging needs. The Coordinator provides training, documentation, and communication of national rules and standards related to monographic and media cataloging and works with others to determine local cataloging policies.

Qualifications: Required: ALA accredited master's degree in library or information science; Minimum of one year demonstrated supervisory experience; Demonstrated knowledge of cataloging rules, standards, and tools; Solid computer skills including spreadsheet and database applications; Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively and flexibly with a wide variety of staff in a rapidly changing environment.
