Hi Katie,
I would also be interested in what options you compile. I also had a
similar experience with a documentary, had to keep telling the faculty
member there was no film we were able to license and acquire, dvd or
streaming, even though they could watch it on netflix. I suspect they
screened it from netflix for the students. As amazon.com produced
Transparent, I don't think they'd license it to Kanopy, Films for the
humanities, etc.
