I am wondering if anyone has any experiences to share about video streaming PDA programs. We're small (4,200 students and 200ish faculty) and we are currently offering PDA through Kanopy. We are finding that we are moving through a large amount of money much more quickly than anticipated - and the repercussions of then having to turn off the PDA temporarily have been unpleasant.
Any guidance on how to gauge the proper amount to allocate per year? To communicate with patrons about responsible use/moderate the amount of traffic it gets? Make it sustainable? I think it's a great service but is proving fiscally unsustainable.
