The University of South Florida Tampa Library seeks an energetic,
intellectually curious, and user-oriented Electronic Resources/Serials
Librarian to be responsible for coordinating the acquisition, licensing,
access, and assessment of serials and electronic resources in all formats.
This position manages all software and related technologies that support
serials and electronic access and discovery. The librarian in this position
serves as an integral member of a team of faculty librarians and staff
committed to managing ongoing, seamless access to resources efficiently and
effectively. In addition to experience managing e-resources and serials, a
successful candidate must demonstrate a learning attitude, an ability to
embrace change, and a high level of adaptability.  This position reports to
the Director of Academic Resources, and supervises two staff responsible for
managing electronic and print journals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•	Participating in all aspects of serials and electronic resources
operation: acquisition, receiving, processing, access, assessment, and renewal
•	Engaging in quality control and the development of best practices
•	Managing a link resolver and participate in the migration to a new
system (Aleph to Sierra/Encore Duet; SFX to EBSCO Full Text Finder)
•	Overseeing workflows for journal resources as we transition from Aleph
to Sierra/Encore Duet
•	Negotiating licenses relating to serials and electronic resources
•	Interacting with publishers, vendors and aggregators to acquire,
establish, and ensure consistent access to library holdings across multiple
platforms including the catalog and discovery services (EBSCO EDS)
•	Compiling and analyzing data for assessment and other statistical
reports
•	Participating in the collection management process for electronic
resources
•	Reconciling the budget for serials and electronic resources working
within the University’s accounting management system
•	Staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices related to
serials and e-resources
•	Serving on relevant library and university committees; and
participating in professional organizations that focus on e-resources

This is a 12 month, non-tenure track, library faculty position at the
Assistant or Associate Librarian rank; reporting to the Director for Academic
Resources. ALA-accredited degree required; salary and rank commensurate with
experience, minimum $50,000. Candidate should submit a letter of application
