Hi Freeda,
Great question! We are currently putting a note that displays under the
call number and directs patrons to look at the more detailed notes in the
description area of the catalog record to view our Public Viewing Rights
for that particular title. The note that shows up under the call
number is: Note: Macalester
Campus Viewing Rights - See Notes Field Under Description. And then in the
description portion of the catalog record a MARC note displays with more
details about Public Viewing Rights for that particular title.
An example of the more detailed note from one title:
- Macalester Campus Viewing Rights: "All videos/DVDs purchased from us
have public screening rights factored into the price, which means that they
may be viewed in audience settings (as long as no admission is charged)."
From the vendor's website: http://www.mediaed.org/wp/faqs#pricing
(6/8/2015). For further information contact the DeWitt Wallace Library.
Let me know if you have any questions!
