Apologies for cross-posting.

Hello,
Our library is currently in the process of migrating from Millennium to Ex
Libris Alma/Primo. We are right at the point of filling out migration forms
and planning for a data extract. I'm only peripherally involved with
acquisitions so I am no expert in this area. It has been suggested to us (not
by Ex Libris) that we should not migrate any acquisitions data including order
records and vendor data. We will be creating a new fund structure so we
aren't concerned about having to manually add that data. However, we are very
concerned at the potentially unnecessary burden that manually transferring our
other acquisitions data will cause on an already over-burdened staff.

Does anyone have experience with this type of migration? Staff are pretty
worried that not migrating this information is going to make this transition
much more difficult than it should be . If anyone can confirm that with some
anecdotal evidence, we would greatly appreciate it. I'm trying to gather
information to support our appeal.

Thank you!
