We have purchased these in different areas for our collection, starting with VHS many years ago, and now in DVD format. When we first starting purchasing them about a decade ago, they circulated quite well. It's fallen off in the past few years, but the product is still quite good as a "quick get up to speed" item on any particular subject.

>>>A few of our faculty are increasingly asking for our Library to purchase content from The Great Courses. In the past, I have been reluctant to add these to our collection, but now I am questioning why I have that way of thinking. Does anyone else have an opinion on the respectability of these courses? Do you purchase these for your collections? Perhaps I am being too critical.
Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts,
