I would like to know what other libraries do in their book repair/mending
unit regarding the necessity of a sink. My physical processing department
which handles book repairs currently has a regular built-in sink. I'd like
to know if other libraries manage to repair without a sink or perhaps have
a different type of setup (or different type of sink). We will be
relocating this unit to a new area of the library and installing the sink
will cost $24,000 which is cost prohibitive. The employee will be close to
restrooms -- maybe that will suffice? Thanks for any ideas or information
you might have.
