Carol:  Thanks for the query. This is a one-time only invoice for all of
the system upgrades that supports the MARC records – 1000’s added annually,
Counter Upgrades, all of the Discovery Services and requirements for
various ip address upgrades etc.  It will not be repeated - promise.  The
last time we had a system wide upgrade fee was 7 years ago.  This is an
across the board upgrade fee – we could never upgrade for some and not
others – it is a pretty modest amount for what we offer, especially
considering how low our maintenance fees are, how reasonable our
subscription rates are and how minimal our annual increases are.  Other
vendors charge considerably higher ongoing fees than we ever have or will.

I was surprised to find an invoice in my inbox this morning from Accessible
Archives for a system upgrade for all tracking software and hardware. I
checked our license agreement, and it does not say anything about ever
being charged for such a thing. And, none of our other vendors charge us
for systems upgrades.   So...



*Why are we being charged for this upgrade? *



And



*Who else is being charged this fee by Accessible Archives?*



These 2 questions and the answers you provide should be added to your FAQ's
for the sake of customer service.
