Hello,
We recently heard from the faculty at our institution that they would like to be notified when every book they order for the library is available for checkout. Currently we only notify faculty for rush orders, and our catalogers email the faculty manually to let them know their order is in. Since we order over 10,000 items a year, it is not feasible to have our catalogers send out an email for every item that is processed. Does anyone have a system for automating emails to let faculty know that their books are at the library? If so, is it is something you can do through your ILS or do you have a way to automate it in-house? I would greatly appreciate any advice.
Sincerely,
Lindsay Barnett
