The Award Jury of the 2015 First Step Award (a Wiley Professional Development Grant presented by the ALCTS Continuing Resources Section) is pleased to announce that the 2015 recipient of the award is Emily Cable, Serials and E-resources Librarian at the Salem Public Library in Salem, Oregon. The award will be presented on Saturday, June 27 at the ALCTS Awards Ceremony during the 2015 American Library Association Annual (ALA) Conference in San Francisco.
John Wiley & Sons sponsors this $1,500 grant, which offers librarians new to the serials field an opportunity to broaden their perspective by attending an ALA Annual Conference and by encouraging professional growth through participation in ALCTS Continuing Resources Section activities.
ALA will be distributing a full press sometime in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please join the Award Jury in congratulating Emily on her receipt of the 2015 ALCTS First Step Award!
