Turn Your Idea into a Publication, an ALCTS Virtual Midwinter Symposium
The Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) is pleased to present "Turn Your Idea into a Publication," a three-day (January 12-14) virtual symposium designed to give new and potential authors the know-how and confidence to share their ideas and expertise through publishing. Experienced authors and editors will introduce fundamentals of research, writing, and publishing.
Session 1 teaches participants how to form a research question, identify an appropriate research methodology, and carry out research properly.
Session 2 focuses on organizing writing, time management and productivity, and working with collaborators.
Session 3 explores how to identify an appropriate venue for publication and establish relationships with editors. Participants will also learn the process of publishing once a manuscript is submitted.
