Hi Laura,
When I was doing the purchasing for an academic library (nearly 2 years
ago), our Amazon account was handled by the college's purchasing office
since other departments were also ordering from Amazon. It took awhile to
work out something out that worked for everyone, but that may have been the
credit line evolving and not us.
I could still use Amazon to build a cart, order, use purchase orders, and
handle seller issues in Marketplace. I believe the order needed final
approval from purchasing, but they did that same day. An issue that may
have been ongoing by the time I left was the invoice. At one point, we had
to pick out library purchases every month from it. That may have changed
when we were able to have our own usernames so the purchasing/business
offices knew who purchased what and could contact them to finish receiving
in Banner or to complete a PO if need be.
