learn more about TERMS directly from the authors Jill Emery and Graham
Stone.
On Friday, June 28, at the 2013 ALA Annual Conference, the Association
for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) brings you
“Techniques for Electronic Resource Management (TERMS): Crowdsourcing
for Best Practices.” This all day preconference, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.,
introduces attendees to best practices in TERMS. Register through the
2013 ALA Annual Conference website. The cost for each: $219 for ALCTS
members; $269 for ALA members; $99 for retired members and students;
$319 for non-members. Select event ALC4.
TERMS: Techniques for Electronic Resource Management has been a
crowdsourcing experiment to encourage worldwide librarians to share
their best practices and workflows of electronic resource management
freely. We invited interested librarians via social media venues such as
Facebook, twitter, Tumblr and a wiki. Come learn how this experiment
worked and participate in the development of capturing the best
practices of electronic resource management. The TERMS Library
Technology Report will be made available to attendees.
For more information, visit the ALCTS preconference webpage. For
questions, contact Julie Reese, jreese_at_ala.org.
