Social Sciences Librarian, The College of New Jersey

The Library at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for 
a 12-month, tenure-track Social Sciences Librarian. The successful 
candidate will oversee collection development and management as well as 
provide reference and instructional support for the departments of 
African-American Studies, Psychology, Political Science, Criminology, 
Communication Studies, and Sociology/Anthropology. In addition, the 
Social Sciences Librarian will provide general reference service and 
will be expected to carry out scholarly and service activities required 
to attain tenure.

Required Qualifications: ALA-accredited master’s degree and a broad 
knowledge of social science information resources. Educational 
background and/or experience in a relevant social science.

Preferred Qualifications: Collection development, reference, and 
instruction experience in an academic setting. Additional graduate 
degree in an appropriate discipline is highly desirable.
