At UNC Chapel Hill we have had several conversations with McGraw-Hill about buying its e-books on a title-by-title basis and doing so via our global English-language vendor (YBP Library Services).

Per our last email response from McGraw Hill:

  * • “We are now hearing feedback that many of you prefer to use 1.) your own aggregators and 2.) have the choice of selecting title by title.’>
  * • “Hope that we will be able to offer you the option of offering our content via YBP”.

These two options are not yet available; however, I think librarians can help make them materialize by conveying their preferences to McGraw-Hill.

Hi Buddy:

Here at Carnegie Mellon we found out you are required to purchase subject collections of McGraw Hill e-books. They don't sell them individually.

Subject: [ACQNET-L] Ordering McGraw-Hill e-books?

Hi,

I was wondering if other libraries have had success ordering e-books from McGraw-Hill. We have tried to place a few orders and we are having no luck getting any response from them.

Thanks.
