The Electronic Resources/Collection Development (ERCD) Librarian will
assume multiple leadership roles in the areas of Electronic Resource
Management, Collection Development, and Library Instruction.

The ERCD Librarian provides strategic leadership for activities related
to the selection, acquisition, and management of electronic monographic
resources and works collaboratively with other stakeholders to promote

acquisitions and management that have the potential for new and
innovative library services.

in the transition from print to electronic acquisition models. This
librarian will provide oversight of the monographic budget. Experience
with collection analysis and de-selection is desired. Familiarity with
emerging trends in scholarly communication, open access models, and
knowledge of academic publishing practices desired.

In regard to Instructional Services, the successful candidate will
coordinate with other librarians and classroom faculty to encourage and
develop integration of information literacy initiatives within both the
general education program and the majors and will serve as the liaison
to the Creative Arts Collegium. The ERCD Librarian will instruct patrons

context of an undergraduate liberal arts college and provide general
reference assistance (10-15 hours each week including one evening) in
person and via email, phone and chat. Periodic participation in the
College’s interdisciplinary; values oriented general education program
is required. Ability to work well with users and staff as a "team
player" is very important.
