I would echo Sarah’s remarks. The product gets good use, but many of the titles are older editions. We discovered this when we were considering purchasing individual titles instead of subscribing to Knovel because of a very high price increase this year (11%).

At Lamar University we have had a subscription to Knovel since 2005. It was requested by the College of Engineering in support of the doctoral degree program in Chemical Engineering that was newly instated that year. While I am surprised to see that some of the e-books included are not the newest edition, the usage reports are quite impressive.

Hi all,
Does anyone subscribe to the Knovel e-book database? Do you find the product/content satisfactory?
Thanks for any info,
