[Please note that Tony's response is regarding the AcqNet listserv. Stephen's original post is requesting input about the AcqWeb site located at acqweb.org. Acqnet-l posts of the type Tony suggests as well as any additional feedback for Stephen's query are encouraged. --Lisa Spagnolo (one of your moderators)]

Thank you for taking this on Stephen.

I do read AcqNet, and about once a week find something that pertains to me (not bad for a mailing list!) What I would like more people to do is post links, abstracts, or whatever, for research in Acquisitions and Collections. Either their own work, or work by others.

Dear acquisitions colleagues,

I’ve agreed to take over administration of acqweb.org , the home of the acqnet-l archive and some other library acquisitions-related content. Just a few years ago, the website moved and underwent a comprehensive overhaul, guided in large part by feedback from the acquisitions community via a survey. Since then, we have developed some blog content and maintained the archive of this mailing list.

As a follow-up, I would love to know what you think about ACQWEB’s role in supporting the daily work of library acquisitions and its relevance to the acquisitions community. So, as the new website administrator, I thought I’d start with a couple of broad questions for the community about the site:

1) Do we need acqweb.org ?
2) If so, what for?

Best regards,

Stephen
