We use amazon Prime. It totally pays for itself at the beginning of the
semesters when I have to get books rushed for Reserve. I have an
institutional credit card linked to our amazon account; prime gets
charged to that once a year (I think ours is set up for early April).
There's a place on the account page on the amazon website to print a
Prime Membership Receipt, which I have to send to the business office
(along with all the other receipts that were charged on the card). We
pay for it out of our books budget line here, since shipping would be
coming out of that budget line if we didn't have Prime.

We just signed up for the Amazon Prime here at my library. According to
Amazon you are required to pay via credit card and then they will
automatically bill you unless you tell them ahead of time to cancel. I
haven't dealt with a renewal yet, but the service is pretty nice so
far. We are invoiced for 98% of our purchases so a credit card payment
like that was troublesome but we did it.

The same way we pay for the books, with the corporate purchase card on
record.

Hi Stacey,
Two of us have it. We pay the fee out of the book budget.

My department has an Amazon Prime membership. We pays for the
membership as a shipping/handling cost out of the library's book
budget. It's definitely worthwhile since it allows 4 procurement card
holders to enjoy Amazon's fast delivery service free.

All

Do any of you have an Amazon Prime account for your library? If so, how
do you pay the membership fee?
