For the fifth year in a row, Swets North America is pleased to announce 
our $1,000

scholarship offer for attendance at the 2012 XXXII Annual Charleston 
Conference, taking place November 7-10, 2012.

Applicants are asked to complete an essay of no more than 1,000 words on 
the topic, “In the

past few years we have seen the fusion of two trends: adoption of social 
media and

collaboration between researchers. As a result, researchers are looking 
for web-based tools

that can support their workflow and the collaboration with their peers. 
How do you think social

research collaboration is changing the academic landscape and how can 
the library be

involved?”

In order to apply, an email including an essay and brief curriculum vita 
can be send to swetsscholarships_at_us.swets.com by September 3, 2012. All 
applicants will be notified via email of the status of their submission. 
Scholarship money must be used to attend the 2012 XXXII Annual 
Charleston Conference. Entries will be reviewed by a committee comprised of:

• Chuck Hamaker, Associate University Librarian for Collections & 
Technical Services,

University of North Carolina – Charlotte

• Christine Stamison, Senior Customer Relations Manager, Swets
