Acquisitions Managers and Vendors Interest Group
Topic: Planning Meeting for ALA Annual Conference
Time/Location: Sunday, January 22, 2012 1:30-3:30 pm DCC-C150
Please join us for a meeting to plan future programs, including the 2012
Annual Conference in Anaheim. We will be brainstorming and exploring
topics that are of interest to acquisitions managers and vendors of
library materials. Possible topics include consortial e-book purchasing,
ILS vendor support for new acquisitions workflows, acquisition of
non-traditional material, or purchasing through non-traditional vendors
such as Amazon.
Have you had trouble finding a session that speaks directly to the
purchasing issues that really affect your work? Are you a publisher or
vendor who would like to participate in future programs? This is your
chance to have some input and help shape upcoming programs. All are
welcome – we hope to see you there!
