I am sharing this question with the Literatures in English Section (ACRL)
because I believe many of the members can help with this question.
I have to say, however, that there are many small presses who are
publishing American literature. Many journals also publish a combination
of poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. This is on top of the
standard trade publishers.
