Tech Services on the Edge

Change is here today and cutting-edge practicing librarians from
throughout the country are here to talk about what they’re doing in
their libraries.
Topics include XSLT, linked data, cataloging e-books, and acquiring and
managing datasets. Each presenter will provide an overview of their
innovation geared toward allowing you to assess potential application in
your library along with practical information on how to get started. Two
special concurrent sessions (limited seating*) will include a discussion
lead by Laura Smart, Metadata Services Manager, Caltech Libraries, on
new initiatives in technical services and how to make time, and a
detailed look at an XSLT project from start-to-finish with Lucas Mak,
Michigan State University Libraries.
Presenters will also include Tiffany Wilson, UMBC, as well as Jane
Murray and Christine Black, Federal Reserve Library. For the full
