Hi, Carol. We use Midwest Tape for a lot of our Books on CD (BCD)
buying.

We also use B&T and Ingram...and individual publishers, depending on
what kind of discounts they're offering or if they're sole source (like
Recorded Books tends to be).

If you need more detailed info, just ask!

Hi, Carol-

You might try Books On Tape (http://library.booksontape.com/) or AudioGo
(http://www.bbcaudiobooksamerica.com/library/).

We use CD Source, though not exclusively. We also have an approval plan with them to provide the Top 10 CD's from the College Music Chart every couple of weeks. That way we don't have to firm order that stuff and the students are really happy to find the latest music in our Fine Arts Library.

We primarily use Blackstone, Audio Editions, Recorded Books (Maryland).
All do library packaging, (mostly) free replacements, good discounts. We
also use BBC-North America, now known as Audio Go.

We use Brilliance Audio and Ingram Library Services. They both offer MP3 CDs (most books fit on one CD).

Ingram is a great choice if price is your biggest concern. Besides giving
you your customary discount, they will put the audio book in a clam shell
for a very reasonable price ($2.50 to about $4.50 depending on size -
cheaper than buying clam shells and doing it yourself). The only hiccup is
that audio books are not returnable (unless defective) because the original
carton is destroyed when they put it in the clam shell. Even when I had
discovered 30 minutes after placing an order that I had accidentally ordered
a duplicate, I could not initiate a cancellation. So just be sure when you
hit submit.

Our Library is very happy with Midwest Tape at midwesttapes.com. They are
our primary supplier of audiobooks on CD. We supplement these orders with
orders placed directly with publishers, such as Blackstone, Recorded Books,
BBC Audiobooks America, Brilliance, and Books on Tape (Random House audio).

Best,
Tricia

Hello,
I am wondering what vendors libraries are using to purchase their
audiobooks on CDs. Perhaps this has been discussed before, but my
search of the archives didn't bring up any recent discussion.
We do have Overdrive, but that doesn't work for everyone and many people
will continue to prefer discs over digital options, at least for a while.
Any suggestions and thoughts would be most welcome.
