Good Day,

Our library is working on a collection assessment program. We are currently
in the data collection phase, gathering information with which to analyze
our print collection. We will eventually move on to assess our electronic
resources as well. Would anyone who has completed a collection assessment or
evaluation be willing to share some experiences? In general:

-Goals: What were the goals of your assessment program?
-Metrics: What kind of time line did you have for the project? Did you find
that it was reasonable?
-Tools: Which tools did you find most helpful? We are primarily using
WorldCat Collection Analysis and our ILS to gather the data. I have read
that Ulrich's is not exceedingly helpful.

Thank you for your help!

Sincerely,

Nikki
