Hello,

I wondered what libraries are doing as regards e-readers these days, ie what is legal.

1. Are you circulating them to patrons?
2. Are you allowing patrons to check them out for in-building use only, ie to take them for a "test drive" in order to compare one to the other?
3. Are you permitting patrons to download content to them, if the answer to one of the previous questions is "yes?"
4. Does the answer to any or all of the above vary according to the type of device, ie Sony's
 e-Reader, B&N's Nook, Amazon's Kindle?
5. Do any of these vendors negotiate on "quantity discounts" as we try to do with the print medium?

Any and all responses would be appreciated.

Thanks.
