University of Arkansas at Little Rock
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Ottenheimer Library
invites applications for the position of Director of Technical Services
and Technology, (R99690), a faculty appointment with rank leading to
tenure. The successful candidate will be required to meet the Library’s
criteria for promotion and tenure, which include librarianship, service
and scholarship/research. The position reports directly to the Dean of
the Library and works closely with the Directors of Public Services,
Administrative Services and Archives/Special Collections.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: American Library Association accredited Master
of Library Science – required. Progressively responsible supervisory
experience of both librarians and paraprofessionals in an academic
library. At least five years of recent experience in acquisitions,
cataloging, serials or systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Second advanced degree preferred;
qualifications for appointment at rank of Associate Professor.
Experience with assessment of library services, strategic planning, and
project management. Broad experience in all areas of technical services.
Experience with III Millennium.
