Cooperative Collection Development:
We Really Mean It This Time
Saturday, June 26, 4–5:30pm
In the face of declining budgets, cooperative collection development has
become vital to our survival. Many libraries have implemented "radical"
collaborative approaches to building collections, facilitating resource
sharing, and developing shared collections policies and procedures.
Libraries are redefining themselves as multi-institutional entities,
rather than stand-alone organizations. This program will focus on the
innovative ways libraries are conducting successful cooperative
collection development programs and will outline potential future(s) for
collaborative collections work.
