Subject: [ACQNET-L] Malware warnings on vendor sites
As I did some research yesterday for ordering Spanish materials from Puvill,
I got a warning that Russian malware authors had poisoned the site and that
my computer might get infected if I continued. Have any others had the same
experience with this or other sites? Are there suggestions about what to do
when this happens? I know from reading the computer press that the warning
was most likely legitimate since last year the bad guys took over the Taylor
and Francis site.
Thanks.
Bob
