Hello All and TGIF,

We were the victim of the finance charge as well. So here is what we
did, although our environment may be a bit different than yours....our
Amazon account is upgraded to a line of credit with 60 days to pay off
library purchases.

Many thanks!

Thank you,

Subject: Re: [ACQNET-L] Amazon corporate account

Hi Michael,

We tried the Amazon Corporate Account for a while. The only problem we
had was based on our internal operations. We have to send check
requests to a separate office, and the turn around time can be a little
slow. We often ended up accruing finance charges (which we are not
allowed to pay) because the checks were being received too late. I
don't remember the exact time limit that the bank Amazon used at the
time (about 2 years ago), but I think it may have been 30 days. If your
institution has a slow turn around for checks, you might want to rethink
using this type of account. Otherwise, we had no negative experiences,
and Amazon did work with us to resolve the late fees. They did caution
us that they would not always do so.

Sincerely,

Hey,

Would those of you who have used Amazon Corporate Account for ordering
relate to me your experiences with their billing? We have used them for
ordering via credit card, but are looking at setting up a separate
account for a pilot buy-not-borrow program and I need to know how the
monthly billing (payment by PO) works for you.

Thanks.

Michael
