on standards affecting serials management at American Library
Association conferences. The session is presented by the ALA ALCTS
Continuing Resources Section, Continuing Resources Standards Committee

Presentations:
ISSN-L Implementation at OCLC
Paul Moss from OCLC will discuss their plans to implement the linking
ISSN. ISSN-L will facilitate resource discovery and use within and
across library systems such as catalogs and OpenURL link resolvers by
grouping the different versions of a serial. Paul will discuss plans for
incorporating ISSN-L into OCLC products and services.
How Libraries Check Online Access and How ONIX for Serials Could Help
Andrea Imre and Kitti Canepi, Southern Illinois University, will discuss
findings of a survey on how libraries check online serials holdings.
Using the ONIX for Serials standard could improve efficiency and accuracy.
CORE Update
Ted Koppel, Auto-Graphics, and co-chair of the Cost of Resource Exchange
(CORE) NISO working group, will discuss the emerging CORE protocol for
machine-to-machine transfer of financial information between Integrated
Library Systems and Electronic Resource Management Systems
