Subject: Big deal problems for us
Dear there
We must going on 2010 orders with many dificulties in Iranian Universities
(Consortium).
>From 35 years ago , that I was a young Serial librarian, we have many
problems on our budjet. I remembered a few years that we have reduction in
our budget , then we cancell a part of our journals and in an occasion ,we
were try again for completing our missed sets or issues. But in
electronic resource negotiation we forced to maintain our old journals (as
perpetual right) . We continued our main journals through 2000-2008,
but last year the Universities in Iran can not recieved all their allocated
budjet, but they maintain their 2009 lists very hardley .
Dear coleagues , July will coming soon and negotiating will begin again.
That is predictable for us about our situation and we will have reduction in
budjet again in our financial year (April to April).
Please help me about your experiences, What , I may do. Omitt some
publishers against another publishers? Is there another way ? Did you omit
some journals of a publisher in your list (Perpetual right) and continued
your access to all journals of the same publisher. Did publisher confirms
your cansellations?
How I will continued our access, and pay more less.
