Greetings,
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=7CQ4MlKykK6WEZqXuV2ncA_3d_3d
This survey explores the extent to which academic libraries of various
types choose to either retain or discard Book Dust Jackets.
Participation is voluntary and open to anyone affiliated with academic
library acquisitions, technical services and collection development.
In the past, academic libraries have often discarded book dust jackets
during physical processing. Some academic libraries have made a policy
of preferring to purchase paperback books, and some of these libraries
re-bind paperbacks in hardcover.
Our survey gathers data on current academic library policies and
practices about preferred formats and bindings, as well as the treatment
of book dust jackets.
This survey is confidential and the record kept of your survey responses
does not contain any identifying information about you. There are only
10 questions, and the survey should take about 5-10 minutes to complete.
Completion of the survey constitutes voluntary consent to participate in
the study. The survey will close on May 30, 2009.
Please feel free to use the optional comments fields throughout the survey.
