We've used Touzot for some time and have had a very positive experience.

We receive notification slips from them for French language and
literature titles. The bulk of our orders come from these, but I also
use Touzot for French-language purchases in other humanities and social
science areas.

We use Casalini Libri for French material (as well as Italian) and they

email out new title announcements.

We also use Aux Amateurs des Livres for both children's and adult
materials and have been quite satisfied with their personalized service.
For children's materials we also use the US based Kurtzman Book Sales,
Inc, 17348 W. 12 Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48076, tel: 800-869-0505.
Susan Brody at Kurtzman is a treasure. We use them for French language
materials where we can get just about anything currently available from
several major publishing houses (L'Ecole des Loisirs,
Volumen/Milan/Seuil, Gallimard, Flammarion and Hachette) but they also
supply children's materials in German, Italian and Spanish.

We have used Touzot and they do claim do set up profiles, however, we

only used them for individiual firm orders. There is another great

French vendor, well established who will set up profiles and send

announcements the is AUx Amateurs du Livres in Paris.

Yes, our library receives slips from Jean Touzot on French language

materials. The profile was set up way before I came to Skidmore so I am

not familiar with the details of setting up profiles with them. We also

use Jean Touzot for firm ordering French titles that didn't match our

profile. You can order directly online in their database (you need to

set up an account first, of course). They have our credit card info in

file so they charge us whenever a shipment is ready to be sent our way.

We don't have a big demand on French publication here at Skidmore, so

the service Jean Touzot offers suits our purposes. We mainly

communicate with them via email and we usually get a response within a

day or two. I would recommend them as a French book vendor if your

library is seeking one.

Feel free to contact me if you have any further question.

Our Library is using Aux Amateurs de Livres who are located in France.

We are very happy with their service and have now moved our Approval

Plan to full shelf ready. We too used in the past Jean Touzot but

because of the lack of efficient customer service moved on.
