Subject: RE - Book with single user access license
Thanks to all who responded, both to the list and directly to me. I was
curious to see if this situation arises often, that is, a publisher
refuses to sell a book to libraries. In the serials world I have
occasionally encountered small societies that only allow individual
subscriptions/memberships and won't sell a subscription to a library but
this was the first time I had encountered this with a book. In the end
we did find a third-party seller who provided us with the book. That
seller could not give us online access at all, but that was never an
important issue for us anyway. The book is a practice guide for a
professional certification.
