Subject: Budget and fund structure realignment
We are currently examining our budget structure at the University of
Texas at
Dallas Libraries. We use Ex Libris’ Voyager as our ILS system. We are
considering
re-doing our fund structure in order to re-align our budget structure.
Before we attempt to re-do our funding structure, I am interested in
finding out how other
academic libraries have set up their fund and/or budget structures in
order to meet the
ACRL statistical requirements. For example, how do you count the number
of electronic resources,
including aggregator databases? Do you divide the cost by school,
discipline, or other means?
Does your library count titles and/or volumes manually or automatically?
If it is done
automatically, could you share your Voyager report code with us?
Please reply off-list by responding to my email address, and I will be
sure to
summarize the results for the listserv if others are interested.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
