ACQNET: RFID tags and metallic covered books

Subject: RFID tags and metallic covered books

We have been using RFID tags for just over a year, and we are running into
issues with books that have metallic covers.  The tags simply don't 
function
properly if the book has a shiny cover.  We've tried booster tags, but they
haven't made a difference. 

I would be interested in learning what other libraries are doing with their
metallic books, especially paperback books.
