Subject: Average Book Prices, 2007--Adult Books--Public Libraries
Hello,
For public libraries:
As you are aware one of the spring issues of _School Library Journal_
contains an article outlining average book prices for adult, juvenile
and young adult titles for public libraries. This helpful article
always lists the average prices for the current year for juvenile
and young adult titles, and for the previous year for adult titles.
For instance, the March 1, 2007 issue of SLJ listed average prices
for 2007 for juvenile and young adult titles, and for 2006 for
adult nonfiction and fiction titles. Libraries have asked me
several times since then if any data is currently available
for 2007 for adult titles. Is this data contained in the
Bowker Annual, 2007 that was published in June or July,
2007? Is there anywhere to obtain this data, prior to the
publication of the SLJ article in Spring, 2008.
Thanks everyone.
