Subject: Monograph Standing Orders

I have recently become the Acquisitions Manager for our library and was
very
surprised to find out that we are using slips of paper to record
ordering history
for our monograph standing orders. Therefore years can go by before
someone
realizes that an item never came in. We are currently using the Dynix
Acquisitions
module. There has got to be a better way. What is everyone else
using? Is there
a way to use Dynix for this function? It was suggested that I use an
Excel file
or Access to maintain a history. I don't have an exact count, but there
have to
be between 750 and 1000 records. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You can send them to me directly if desired to librarianlady34_at_yahoo.com
