Subject: Identification of Southern Americana Titles, etc.

Colleagues,
See the message below. No vendors stepped forward then and now the
threat is becoming a reality. So I have a new question.
If your library collects in the areas noted below, how do you identify
the titles??
Thank you very much for your help.

Subject: Vendors for Identification and Supply of Southern Americana

Colleagues,

We collect archaeological reports, local histories, personal narratives
written by Southerners (and veterans of World War II and Holocaust
survivors) and Southern and African American literature, including
not only works by Southern and African American authors, but works
set in the South or about members of these groups. Our access to
the identification tool we have been using may no longer be
available to us very soon. Therefore, I am writing on behalf of our
bibliographers to inquire as to whether there are vendors out there
who can reliably identify and supply materials in these areas. Please
respond to me off list.
Thank you very much.
