Subject: Promptcat/cataloging partners and B&T

Our library is interested in starting Promptcat (now OCLC Cataloging
Partners) and I was wondering
what experiences you have had with it? We are in Texas and our state
contract is with Baker and
Taylor, but I have yet to hear from anyone who actually uses Baker and
Taylor for this. Most of the
people I have talked with use YBP or Blackwell.

Does anyone know of a good reason to avoid B&T for PromptCat? We have
had some concerns over
author letter vs. cutter. Has this been a problem for anyone else? Also,
what experiences have you had
with PromptCat in general? Have they been positive?

Feel free to reply to me off list.

Thank you,
Sandy
